Basics of Teaching with UVLe on April 24, 2017

ILC Diliman conducted a short training / seminar-workshop on Basics of Teaching with UVLê for CMC last April 24, 2017 at the Broad Comm.

The short training / seminar-workshop covered the basic features and how-to’s of UVLê (short for University Virtual Learning Environment), the university’s learning management system (LMS).  The seminar-workshop also highlighted the role of technology in student learning, particularly the why’s and advantages of using an LMS to engage student participation and enhance learning. Mr. Van Supranes and Dawn Benigno, facilitated the seminar-workshop.

The seminar-workshop had a different format compared to the previous UVLe training runs.  It was partly delivered online, with training materials readily available to participants via a newly developed training course (in UVLe), and online consultations and follow-throughs were provided/encouraged even after the end of the training.

The short training / seminar-workshop covered the basic features and how-to’s of UVLê (short for University Virtual Learning Environment), the university’s learning management system (LMS).  The seminar-workshop also highlighted the role of technology in student learning, particularly the why’s and advantages of using an LMS to engage student participation and enhance learning.  Mr. Joseph Ryan Lansangan, the current director of ILC Diliman, facilitated the seminar-workshop.

Renewal of PDA’s on November 22, 2016

ILC Diliman renewal of our two educational technology experts as Project Development Associates (PDAs) on November 22, 2016.

Prof. Elenita N. Que of the Division of Education Leadership and Professional Services (DELPS), College of Education, is the Project Development Associate for Blended Learning and Teaching. Prof. Que serves as a consultant in the development, evaluation, revision and recommendation of training, curricula and courses; leads in the development and deployment of ILC Diliman projects related to blended learning and teaching through EdTech; and acts as one of the subject matter experts or resource person on modern and effective pedagogy.

Meanwhile, Mr. Michael Van B. Supranes of the School of Statistics is the Project Development Associate for Education Technology Advancement.  Mr. Supranes leads in the review and development of the training and resources for the university’s learning management system or UVLe, as well as helps in the review and development of the different materials and resources related to the use of education technologies.  Mr. Supranes also serves as a subject matter expert and a resource person on the use of UVLe.

Both Prof. Que and Mr. Supranes shall provide support in the identification and preparation of ILC Diliman’s projects, programs and services, as well.
