UVLe ’26 Caravan Brings Updated Learning Management System Training to UP Diliman Academic Units First stop of the UVLe ’26 Caravan: Faculty members and lecturers at School of Labor and Industrial Relations (SOLAIR) participate in the UVLe ’26 training session, exploring the updated platform and its new features. The Interactive Learning Center Diliman (ILCD) successfully conducted the UVLe ’26 Caravan, a series of unit-based training sessions designed to support faculty members and lecturers in transitioning to the updated University Virtual Learning Environment (UVLe ’26). Following the implementation of the upgraded platform in December 2025 as announced in Memorandum No. ILCD MFMR 25 – 005: Launch of the New UVLe, ILCD reached out to academic units across UP Diliman through Memorandum No. ILCD MFMR 26 – 004: UVLe ’26 Caravan Unit-Based Training Sessions, to provide targeted training sessions addressing the needs of both experienced and new UVLe users. UVLe ’26 Caravan at the School of Urban and Regional Planning-Office of Graduate Studies: Helping SURP-OGS faculty and lecturers make their transition to UVLe ’26 smoother and supporting the effective use of the platform in their classes. The three-hour training sessions consisted of two components: Transitioning to UVLe ’26 – a session designed for faculty members and lecturers who have previously used UVLe. This segment introduced the major updates and changes in the new platform. Basics of UVLe ’26 – an introductory session intended for new users with no prior experience using UVLe. This segment covered the essential features and basic functions needed to begin creating and managing online course spaces. To better accommodate participants, the sessions were structured so that previous UVLe users could complete the transition segment first, while new users could continue with the succeeding introductory training. Faculty members and lecturers at the UP School of Economics engage in hands-on discussions and demonstrations on using UVLe ’26 for their courses. Bringing UVLe ’26 Training Closer to Academic Units The initial implementation of the UVLe ’26 Caravan successfully conducted eight (8) training sessions for: School of Labor and Industrial Relations (SOLAIR) School of Urban and Regional Planning – Office of Graduate Studies (SURP-OGS) School of Economics Institute of Civil Engineering (ICE) National Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (NIMBB) Diliman Extension Programs in Pampanga and Olongapo (DEPPO) Institute of Mathematics Asian Center Through these sessions, a total of 100 faculty members and lecturers were trained on the updated UVLe ’26 platform. UVLe ’26 Caravan made a stop at the National Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (NIMBB), where faculty members and lecturers learned how to transition to the updated platform and navigate UVLe ’26 as new users. Collaboration for Digital Teaching and Learning The success of the UVLe ’26 Caravan was made possible through collaboration between ILCD and participating academic units. Each unit helped facilitate the sessions by organizing participants, preparing venues, and coordinating with ILCD. ILCD provided the training expertise and resources through its team of speakers, training assistants, and support staff. Across the eight completed sessions, ILCD personnel contributed a total of 126 staff-hours dedicated to training delivery, facilitation, technical assistance, and participant support. Through this collaborative effort, support for UP Diliman faculty members and lecturers in effectively using the UVLe ‘26 learning management system is strengthened, promoting utilization of educational technology tools for teaching and learning.
