ILC Diliman Holds Training on Basics of Teaching with UVLe 3 for UP School of Statistics Announcement March 10, 2020 Interactive Learning Center(ILC), Diliman – conducted a Training/Workshop on Basics of Teaching with UVLe 3 last March  09, 2020 held at UP School of Statistics. The Training on Basics of Teaching with UVLe 3 was lead by Asst. Prof. Michael Van Supranes and with ICT Associate Mr. Tristan Jake Alcantara, ICT Associate Mrs. Jennifer Padil and ICT Assistant Mr. Jan Paul Carag as their training assistant and videographer. It was the Statistics Faculty who attended the Training on Basics of Teaching with UVLe 3 this March 09, 2020. Before the training started, each participant had their training course page created for them in UVLe 3. The course pages were used as their training page for the editing and setup of the activity resources and the training course page. OIC Director Asst. Prof. Michael Van Supranes from the School of Statistics explains how to start using UVLe. Prof. Supranes and Mr. Alcantara discussed the features of UVLe under the basic teacher role and demonstrated its uses with the help of the training assistants. Some of the features discussed are: Course Page Editing, Basic Resources; Uploading Files, Uploading Images, Embedding Youtube Videos and Sharing a webpage, Basic Activities; Assignments, Forum and Choice. Senior ICT Associate Tristan Jake Alcantara from ILC Diliman demonstrates features under the basic teacher role. They also discussed some features under Advance Topic such as: Groups and Groupings, Access Restriction and Online Quizzes. After the discussion and demonstration of UVLe 3 and its features, the participants showed interest in using the system for their future classes. UP Mail Account Authentication

UP Mail Account Authentication Announcement February 14, 2020 In compliance with the UP Memo No. TJH 2019-07A Section 2 and 5, use of UP mail and Two-Factor Authentication(2FA) feature will be available for UVLe users. Users must link their account to their UP Mail before they can use this feature. Once linked, UVLe users may login via UP Mail to access their UVLe account.  To link UP Mail account to your UVLe account, do the following: 1. Hover your name and go to Preferences 2. Expand Other Preferences 3. Under User account (others), click Linked logins 4. Click Link a new account (UP Mail Login) 5. Sign in your UP Mail account. The feature will only allow login via UP Mail (@up.edu.ph), and it will not accept logins using other @gmail accounts.

ILC Diliman holds Basics of Teaching with UVLe 3 for Institute of Biology, UP Diliman Seminars or Workshop, UVLe September 25, 2019 The Interactive Learning Center (ILC) Diliman conducted the Basics of Teaching for the  University Virtual Learning Environment (UVLê) training last September 22, 2019 at the Institute of Biology (IB). The training for the IB faculty was initiated by Dr. Carmela P. Espanola for the participants to fully utilize UVLe and implement online activities for their classes. Project Development Associate (PDA) for EdTech Advancement Asst. Prof. Michael Van Supranes from the School of Statistics explains the new features and interface. OVCAA-ILC Diliman Project Development Associate (PDA) for EdTech Advancement Asst. Prof. Michael Van Supranes led the UVLe training together with ILC Diliman Director Joseph Ryan Lansangan. ICT Associates Mr. Tristan Jake A. Alcantara and Ms. Jennifer I. Estrada also helped in facilitating the UVLe training.  The UVLe training focused on the Basic Teacher role in UVLe and some of the more advanced features and tools available to enhance teaching and learning. The Basic Teacher role has basic capabilities in setting up activities (Assignment, Choice, and Forum) and resources (File, Label, and URL). Setting up the Gradebook, using the Question bank and Quiz activity were among the discussed advanced features.
