ILC Diliman ILC Diliman holds Basics of Teaching with UVLê 3 for UPEPP August 8, 2019 The Interactive Learning Center (ILC) Diliman conducted a  Basics of Teaching with University Virtual Learning Environment (UVLê) workshop last August 5, 2019. Fifteen faculty members from the UP Extension Program for Pampanga and Olongapo (UPEPP) participated in the workshop. Prof. Michael Van Supranes from the School of Statistics led the workshop, assisted by ICT Associates Mr. Tristan Jake Alcantara, Mr. John Mark Roco and Ms. Jennifer Estrada. Also present during the workshop was ILC Diliman Director Associate Prof. Joseph Ryan G. Lansangan, Ph.D. Ms. Jennifer Estrada is the latest ICT Associate in the ILC office. She primarily maintains and improves the UVLê to ensure that UVLê’s functionality. She observed that initially, the participants had a hard time in navigation of the basic elements UVLê has to offer. (READ: What is UVLê?, Basics of Teaching with UVLê 3) “Sir Van [and the team] attended to their questions after teaching a specific lesson, such as logging-in to [the] system, creating courses, lessons, etc.,” she said.  The participants were able to experience how to navigate the homepage, manage a course, put content, share resources, post and collect assignments and many others. “Nakita naman po namin na masaya sila sa natutunan nila,” she added. Interactive Learning Center Diliman had an University Virtual Learning Environment (UVLê) orientation for College of Social Science and Philosophy (CSSP) Department of History last June 20, 2018 at Silid Balangay in College of Social Science and Philosophy Department of History. Photo-Op with the UP Dept. of History instructor Mr. Aaron F. Viernes. Mr. Aaron F. Viernes, instructor from the UP Department of History, invited ILC Diliman team as the resource speaker for their teaching workshop. It was a 40-minute talk with a demonstration of UVLe’s features. ILC Diliman Director Joseph Ryan Lansangan facilitated the UVLê demonstration and with the assistance of programmer Tristan Jake Alcantara. The demonstration of UVLê covered the Basics of Teaching with UVLê 3 and its elements, namely dashboard, my courses, profile, file uploading, assignment, forum, and quiz activities. ILC Diliman Basic ISO – Compliant Standard/s in Writing Letters, Reports and Communications (Memos, Office Orders, etc.) for OVCAA and its Offices April 16, 2018 Basic ISO 9000 seminar workshop:”Basic ISO – Compliant Standard/s in Writing Letters, Reports and Communications (Memos, Office Orders, etc.) for OVCAA and its Offices” Computer Laboratory Room 103 (ILC Diliman) – Interactive Learning Center (ILC) Diliman employees attended the seminar workshop on Basic ISO – Compliant Standard/s in Writing Letters, Reports and Communications (Memos, Office Orders, etc.) for OVCAA and its Offices last April 13, 2018 1:00pm – 5:00pm. The seminar workshop main speakers were Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs Evangeline Amor and Director of Office for the Advancement of Teaching (OAT) Rosella Torrecampo. Other speakers were EA III for Special Projects Maria Eloisa Almario-Zabat and Rowena Moralejo of OVCAA. The seminar workshop was limited to 20 participants from different offices under the Office of the Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs (OVCAA) where common tasks were writing letters, reports and communication materials to other departments. The seminar workshop’s purpose was to give basic knowledge about the ISO 9000 standardization for OVCAA. In the seminar Director of Office for the Advancement of Teaching (OAT) Rosella Torrecampo presentation entitled “Writing towards and ISO 9000 documentation standard style” she discussed about Seven Quality Management Principles, letter format standardization (including memo, conventions, coding, archiving systems) and other innovations that improve content clarity and tone. In the seminar, participants were grouped and had an “open space: discussion of ideas and resolution” activities where they discussed communication issues noticed in the office with the resolution they have in mind.
