ILC Diliman will adopt skeletal force amid suspension of work

As part of preventive measures amid the COVID-19, ILC Diliman will adopt the work from home as part of its workforce to ensure that essential services are continued. 

Skeletal workforce will be present in the office from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM (MTWThF). Our staff can accommodate helpdesk tickets from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (MTWThF). Please understand that we are a small office. Please check FAQs and UVLe information materials before opening a ticket. We are doing our best to address all tickets within office hours.

Face-to-face consultations are strongly discouraged. We will not be accepting large-group face-to-face consultation or inquiries in view of social distancing. For inquiries and urgent matters, contact us at our Helpdesk (helpdesk.ilc.upd.edu.ph).

ONLINE CLASS 101: A Guide on Tools for Conducting Classes Online

 

In view of MEMO NO. OVCAA-ECA 20-580 and MEMO. NO. OVPAA 2020-31, Interactive Learning Center Diliman is preparing and collecting materials/guides related to online mode of teaching. In addition, ILC Diliman strongly recommends UPD Faculty to use: 

  • the University Virtual Learning Environment (UVLe) as the main platform or learning management system. It’s basic features include sharing of files/videos, forum discussions, polls, and online assignments. It also has advanced features, such as online quizzes, gamification tools, etc. Moreover, course creation and student enlistment are automated via CRS. 
  • Zoom for video conferencing and/or lecture recording. 
  • Google Drive for extra online storage space (esp. for sharing large files).

Access to Informative Online Resources (e.g. eBooks, eJournals, etc.):
  • With a DilNet account, students and faculty can access the library’s online collection/resources (e.g. eJournals, eBooks) through ezproxy.upd.edu.ph
  • The CEO of Scribd announced that Scribd’s online library will be free, to anyone, for 30 days (for the next month). Check Scribd here: https://www.scribd.com/?lohp=1

UP ITDC offers Online Training for UP Staff

UP Information Technology Development Center (UP ITDC) will be conducting online training courses of UP staff. The training sessions are designed to strengthen the Work-From-Home capability of UP staff. The online sessions will be conducted via Zoom webinars and will start on Monday, 30 March 2020.
