ILC Diliman Hosts UVLe ‘26 Training for Faculty
With the recent launch of UP Diliman’s official Learning Management System (LMS), UVLe ‘26, the Interactive Learning Center Diliman (ILCD) promised a variety of training sessions aimed at mastering the new platform. As planned, ILCD hosted a three day repetitive training session for the new UVLe ‘26 which happened on February 9, 11, and 13, 2026 at the University Computer Center.
The training formally opened with an opening ceremony led by ILCD Director, Associate Professor Miguel Francisco Remolona, who delivered the opening speech and emphasized the importance of UVLe ’26 in strengthening digital teaching and learning at the university.
The project was headed by ILCD Program Development Associate (PDA) for Education Technology Jessica Junio-Jimenez while the training itself was led by faculty trainers Carlo Angelo Sonday, Jake Avila, Elenita Que, and Adelson Chua who is also an ILCD PDA.
The program was split into two sessions; the AM sessions titled “Transitioning to UVLe ‘26 & Basic UVLe ‘26 for Faculty” which focused on the UI changes, transferring UVLe ‘22 classes to the new platform, as well as the showcase of some of the new features.
The PM sessions titled “UVLe ‘26 Gradebook & Groupings and Grade Overrides” were focused on the more advanced feature of UVLe: the Gradebook. In these sessions, the facilitators demonstrated the process of using the Gradebook, types of grade aggregations, groupings, and all of the important specifics on using the feature.
UVLe, now using the up-to-date Moodle 4.5 LMS, has plenty of new features as well as a revamped User Interface (UI) hence the need for the comprehensive training. But the training did not only focus on the website’s new features, ILCD also launched new UVLe platform badges that the participants and facilitators will receive after the training. These new badges, although purely for bragging rights for now, will be displayed on the user’s profile and will be a good first step for the plan of blockchaining our online credentials.
Currently in its beta form, UVLe ‘26 is aimed to fully release along with the CRS integration module by midyear, June 12, 2026.
